Visit of the Road Safety experts from Finland
The talks focused on issues related to the education of road users, resulting from Polish practice and experience. There were presented, among the others, analyzes of accidents involving pedestrians and issues devoted to European standards in the context of prevention of accidents involving drink drivers using the example of alcohol lock. ITS staff also presented Polish Road Safety Observatory, whose statutory objective is to contribute to reducing the number of road accident victims in Poland. The guests had also the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the electronic toll collection system operating in Poland for the use of state roads - viaToll.
The meeting was part of the ITS exchange of best practices and experiences from leading institutions in Poland, which work to improve road safety – earlier the experts from Finland at the headquarters of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction met with representatives of the Secretariat of the National Road Safety Council.
