Taking into account the dangers stemming from the dynamic development of the motorism and being guided by the priorities defined by the European Union, with respect to minimising these dangers, the Motor Transport Institute runs several projects and targeted scientific research initiatives as well as those commissioned within Structural Funds and EU Framework Programs. The work conducted is aimed essentially at improving safety of all road traffic participants as well as environmental protection. The Institute's scientific research and technical staff actively participate in the international and domestic works and projects, including those for the Ministry of Infrastructure and other public administration entities. ITS participates also in the special projects and its own projects-grants. ITS staff is very active publishing their work domestically and abroad in the automotive publications.
