Distinctions for the ITS Director
We are pleased to announce that prof. Ph.D. engineer Marcin Ślęzak, Director of the Motor Transport Institute, was awarded the "Silver Medal for Merits to the Police" by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration. The medal is awarded to a person who, among other things, initiates or organizes activities aimed at improving the efficiency of Police operations. This is the second recent distinction for Professor Ślęzak. Earlier - as proof of his achievements - he also received the "Bronze Medal for Merits to the Police".
The Motor Transport Institute has been cooperating with the Police for years, including: for road safety by conducting research, creating preventive and educational activities and co-creating social campaigns. In addition, ITS and the Police cooperate in preparing analyzes on the state of road safety within the database of the Polish Road Safety Observatory ITS.
Professor Ślęzak was also awarded the Gold Badge of the National Association of Road Transport Employers. The award ceremony took place in Tęgobór as part of the Conference of the Polish Association of Road Transport Employers and the Polish Association of Road Carriers "GALICJA" entitled: "Transport - a strategic factor of security and development of Europe".
